    Meetings are generally held on the first Sunday of each month at 5:30PM (with exceptions for holidays and a recess for summer). Active and prospective members are encouraged to attend.

    On the Saturday closest to St. Patrick's Day, the Irish Congress of Southern California celebrates St. Patrick's Day each year with a parade through Downtown San Diego and an Irish Festival in Balboa Park. Both are free to the public. Representatives from the House of Ireland march in the parade each year.

    St. Patrick's Day Weekend

    Join us for our annual celebration of Ireland's rich culture! Each March, on the Sunday before St. Patrick's Day, the House of Ireland presents our annual lawn program. Live music, dancing, and other Irish traditions take the stage while Irish stew and other tasty treats are served at the cottage.

    On the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend, the House of Ireland celebrates the Annual Ethnic Food Fair hosted by many of the Balboa Park International Cottages. The participating Cottages provide the public an opportunity to delight their palates with delicious ethnic food traditions from around the world.

  • December Nights

    International Christmas Festival (December Nights)

    1st Friday/Saturday in December

    As a part of Balboa Park's December Nights festival, the International Cottages present a multi-cultural menu and holiday-themed entertainment. Traditional Irish fare is sold at the cottage, and guests at least 21 years of age may venture into the International Spirits Garden for Guinness, Harp, and Smithwick's on tap, or a proper Irish Coffee.
